Hey Phil,

Enjoyed the Garth show last night, and what a positive (aside from the weather), and timely ad for ND.  The ND/Navy weekend was a blast, and thanks to all again for coming in.  We put new windows in the house the NEXT weekend!  Consider the Irish Whiskey dispensed honorably under my holiday inventory reduction program - including a few recent nips watching the concert, Thanksgiving, 19th Hole, and the Fall of Troy.

Agreed on the officials - anything but the B1G (sic) or Pac 12 weasels.  And there is no love lost between the SEC and the Clemson Tigers.  I understand the Paul Johnson-less GA Tech program may be courting the Clemson Offensive Coordinator for their new HC - sooner the better!

Visited DFW for a great wedding a few years ago.  I recall the grand old Adolphus Hotel, Dallas having a good pub on their lower level (low places). The best liquor store in Texas is the "Euless Package Shop" just west of Irving, where the employee shirts bear the motto "Been Pissing People Off Since 1936"!  No shortage of ice cold long neck Lone Star and Pearl Beer.

Like Garth's song says, Mitch "has friends in low places.  Mostly lacking in social graces".  Some of them were at his house in SD the night before the Navy game.  Btw, how was that bottle of Irish?

In answer to Herbie's question, I think ND will be on the winning side of the field.

And if the officiating crew is from the SEC it would probably be a great break for ND.

As many will be arriving by Thursday night the 27th, we should pick a humble spot "where the whiskey drowns and the beer chases the blues" to assemble.  Anybody have a suggestion?  I know a lot of great spots in DFW but unfortunately they all feature live entertainment which probably wouldn't be popular with any attending spouses.
