Apparently there is an issue with a number of models of Guidant implantable
cardiac defibrillators, or ICD's for short. Guidant has now recalled about
50,000 of these devices because of flaws. If you go to

there is more information on this as well as what can be done about it.
There is also a free case evaluation provided for those who may have been
