Hi all!

I wanted to share this out with our group because although the roads can be dicey this time of year, the Torists are a great club that's almost within spittin' distance of our scion society (that's how us Americans talk). On a good day, it's under a 2-hour drive from Madison to the Great Escape in Schiller Park (just about 10 minutes east of Shaumberg, as the crow flies). The dinner is one of the more reasonably priced at $40, and the company is excellent. See the forwarded message for details on payment, location, and timing. We ARE certainly in the Goldilocks zone, more than 100 miles distant, but not TOO far distant that we can't join in-person. There will be a Zoom link in the future, in case you'd like to participate, but don't want to/can't partake of the succulent post-Christmas feast in person.

This presentation promises to be interesting, as there will be a number of magicians and magicians-itinerant (including yours truly) performing semi-canonical magic, legerdemain, and possibly a bit of mind reading, in the proud tradition of Sherlock Holmes.

The Torists International, S.S. will host a Holiday Magic Show featuring Al Shaw, BSI, a/k/a Sir Hugo Baskerville, as well as other magicians.  This will coincide with our annual Blue Carbuncle Dinner on the date in which that story occurred, 27 December.

We will meet at The Great Escape Restaurant, 9540 W Irving Park Rd, Schiller Park, IL 60176.

Drinks and socializing will begin at 6:30pm and dinner will begin at 7:00pm. Zoom will be available for those outside 100 miles of Chicago and will begin streaming after in-person attendees have had dinner.
