This is my very occasional reminder of the existence of what we are now calling the Diogenes Club. We meet on Zoom on the first Sunday of each month at 2 pm Central to discuss a different classic detective story. The message below has the information about what we are reading for the next few months and the Zoom call information. This month is the first Charlie Chan book, so feel free to check it out. In August (August 4 at 2 pm Central), the Diogenes Club will be discussing The House Without a Key, by Earl Derr Biggers (the first Charlie Chan mystery).  I know very little about Charlie Chan, so I'm interested to learn more. Note that this is a change from our previous plan, as we have switched the books from August and September. Our reading schedule for the next few months is now as follows:

• Sep. 1: The Siamese Twin Mystery, by Ellery Queen
• Oct. 6: The Leavenworth Case, by Anna Katharine Green

• Dec. 1: Artists in Crime, by Ngaio Marsh
