Sophie has just sent me an invitation that she asked that I extend to the larger NCT membership group. On Wednesday, February 18th, Sophie and her group (incredible name, by the way) will be starting a circuit through the Canon! There will be a reporter and an opportunity to dress up in your best Homesian or Victorian garb and get your picture taken. Since it's a weekday and the meeting starts at 6pm, I'll probably leave work a little early to hit the road. (Leaving around 3:30 or 3:45 would probably be best). If anyone in the Madison area would like to ride with me, I'm happy to act as your chauffeur. I might even have a short stubbly beard. Or a bushy black one! You never know.
P.S. Happy February to you—if you've just come out of a 10,000 year long time loop, congratulations on being back to new experiences, but unfortunately the groundhog
saw his shadow. Now, just to teach the controversy, we have our own groundhog weather prediction office here in Sun Prairie (a Madison suburb), Wisconsin, and
Jimmy disagrees with Punxsutawney Phil (or perhaps they are just localized forecasts) and we'll be in for an early spring!
Well, that was a bit of a sidetrack. Maybe I should've put it as a P.S. Yep, so I just moved it here.

Hello all,
I wanted to extend an invitation to the college Sherlockian society at UW Oshkosh that we just started up. You are more than welcome to join us at these meetings if it is convenient for you. The locations and times are listed below.
It is called The Sherlock Holmes Society of University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, "The Illustrious Guild of the Two-Hour Breakfast". This is not a BSI-affiliated scion. We will not be listed on the Sherlockian calendar. Our club consists of college students and a couple of professors.

Case: "A Scandal in Bohemia" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (ACD) (published June 1891)(Standard story abbreviation: SCAN)
*There is someone with UW Oshkosh Today (
https://www.uwosh.edu/today/) who will be stopping by this meeting. They want to write an article on Sherlockiana and our club. They might ask you questions about why you are interested in Sherlockiana or what a Sherlockian club does. If you feel uncomfortable having your words / photo published, you are welcome to opt out of being in the piece. Personally, I am going to dress up in Victorian garb for this meeting. You can dress up too, if you'd like.
