NCTs,
Mary and I cast our votes in favor of a postponement as well, given the predictions of unrelenting snowfall tonight into Monday and the expected accumulations that will make travel unsafe and leave many housebound for days perhaps.

Is it possible to push the meeting back a week, or is our library room only reserved for the third Sundays, flat out?

Meanwhile, attached is a surprising bit of serendipity from this week's New Yorker magazine.

Cheerie-bye,
Kevin & Mary H.

As the weather has been quite difficult to predict, I wasn't quite ready to call our meeting off for tomorrow unilaterally. However, it's looking like 5" is headed for Madison, over the course of the day.

Would folks prefer the slide (postpone our reading schedule a month) or to go online instead? I'm up for whatever. I think I saw three votes for slide and two for online, so far. Johanna, Glen, do you have a preference?

I checked with the Fitchburg Library to see if the conference room is available next week. It is not.

I have a third suggestion. Since the story this week is the first half of a novel, why don't we go ahead and discuss the entire novel in April. That will allow us to keep our current schedule.

I forgot to mention that I was without power for nearly 20 hours yesterday. That makes me a bit leery of scheduling an online meeting during stormy weather.

We like Glen’s idea discussing the entire novel in April.

Whole thing in April sounds good to me.

I think that’s a great idea. I’ve updated the website to say tomorrow’s meeting is cancelled and we’ll discuss the full novel in April.

Best wishes to all for surviving the snow!
