Dear Engineering Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students,

I am looking forward to seeing many of you at next month’s two Applied AI Futures Seminars, part of the Dean's Distinguished Seminar Series.

On Monday, Feb. 9, René Vidal will be visiting from the University of Pennsylvania to deliver a seminar titled “Engineering Faithful and Interpretable AI Systems.”

The following week on Tuesday, Feb. 17, alumnus Craig Nowell ’03, VP of Global AI Go-to-Market at Databricks, will share an industry perspective in his seminar “Observations from an AI Pragmatist.”

More details and registration are on the Dean's Distinguished Seminar Series web page

Please register in advance for both of these seminars.

Thank you, and I hope to see you there.

Sincerely,

Dean Jim Pfaendtner
