Dear alumna/as,

Only 7 people have RSVPed for this event. If you plan to attend, you need to register TODAY within the next 20-30 minutes. Otherwise, the program will be cancelled, or postponed to another location/venue.

This is unfortunate, given the Association and a unit in the Provost's Office was helping to sponsor this event. Truly unfortunate...

Hi Everyone,

We just heard back from RAVE Catering that they require a minimum of 25 people (the Lonnie Poole Clubhouse closes at 3:00 p.m. so any evening events must meet a minimum to justify paid staff time).

As of this afternoon, we only have 7 people registered.  Would you like to move the event location off-site to a regular restaurant and adjust the format a bit? Have more of a happy hour reception somewhere like Backyard Bistro or Jimmy V's? Everyone could just be on their own tabs at that point? We only have 1 paid guest right now, and could easily refund their money.

I'm just not sure we'll meet the minimum needed for the Clubhouse, and do not feel comfortable asking OIED to pay for food for 25 people if we are not close to meeting the minimum.

What are your thoughts? We need to make a decision rather quickly--

I apologize. We have not registered yet, but we plan to attend. This is really busy season for us both with work and with juggling baseball practice schedules, tutoring sessions, and the numerous external boards that I serve on. We will register tonight.

I know the core group will be there. Someone will need to push out another email notice encouraging people to register - both through the listserv and the facebook page. 

I've not had a chance to correspond with the graduating students. I will try to send an email out to each of them today asking them to RSVP for the count.
