I just spoke with Dr. Hunt and we think the braided cords will be fine. We do try to restrict the use of cords to those representing honor societies.

Hi Martha,

I am the adviser for the N.C. State chapter of the Society for Collegiate Journalists. Our national organization is making braided cords available to our graduating seniors for the first time (ever) this year and we want to inquire as to how to go about getting permission for them to wear them.

The Society is an honor society and we require a minimum 3.0 GPA for acceptance. The link to the National SCJ Website is http://www.scj.us/.
