NCSSORS submission deadline is approaching!

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS -

2010 NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SYMPOSIUM ON
STATISTICS AND OPERATIONS RESEARCH IN SPORTS

AND

SPECIAL ISSUE OF THE JOURNAL OF
QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS IN SPORTS

Menlo College - Atherton, California
Date to be announced shortly.

The 2010 Northern California Symposium on Statistics and Operations
Research in Sports is a meeting of academics and professionals with
sports teams, sports media, and universities to present original
research and discuss the pressing issues in the field of quantitative
analysis of sports. The symposium will include traditional oral
presentations,
research posters, and a panel discussion. The proceedings of the
symposium will be published in a special issue of the Journal of
Quantitative Analysis in Sports (JQAS).

ABSTRACTS FOR TALKS AND POSTERS ARE NOW REQUESTED
THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS IS JULY 1, 2010.

Please e-mail abstracts as a Word or plain text file by July 1, 2010,
to bal...@menlo.edu for consideration to be on the program.

Abstract instructions:
Abstracts should be no more than 250 words, and should clearly outline
the work that you would like to present. Please indicate whether you
would be willing to present your work only as a talk, only as a
poster, or either. Inclusion in the special issue of JQAS is at the
discretion of the presenter.

Along with your abstract, please include:
- the title of the presentation
- your name
- your affiliation
- a contact e-mail address

Decisions for accepting abstracts will be made by July 15, 2010.
Further details of the conference, including registration information,
are forthcoming and will be available at http://ncssors.wikidot.com.
