Graduation Campout is this weekend! We look forward to seeing you at Parker's Creek Group Campsite 256, Jordan Lake State Park (directions below). We will be camping Friday night and Saturday night, May 19th and 20th, breaking camp on Sunday morning May 21st.
We would love for you to camp the whole weekend with us, but if you're only able to camp one night, or even just visit for the day on Saturday, please come and enjoy the fellowship and food!
Scouts will need their Class A uniforms for graduation ceremonies Saturday evening.

Directions:
Parker's Creek Group Campsites - Jordan Lake State Recreation Area is located in Chatham County, 21 miles southwest of Raleigh off US 64, and can be reached via NC 751 or US 15-501 from Durham and Chapel Hill. The entrance to Parker's Creek is on US 64. Traveling west on US 64, go over the bridge on Jordan Lake. The entrance is on the right. Traveling east on US 64, the Parkers Creek entrance is the first left after seeing the lake. The Group Campsites are located on the last Loop as you travel the main road of Parker's Creek Campgrounds. Program
Friday night – No formal program. Set up camp. Dinner on your own. Ga-ga ball, etc.
Saturday
• 8:00-8:45 – Breakfast
• 8:45-9:00 – Opening ceremony (welcome, flag ceremony, overview of day’s activities)
• 9:00-11:00 – 3 activity stations (40 minutes each) – Dens are rotated through each station.
o Activity station 1 – Sling shot (Eric and John O’Tuel)
o Activity station 2 – First aid (Martina)
o Activity station 3 – Fishing (Kevin Klingel)
• 11:00-12:00 noon – Crazy Olympics (John Ulrich and Dan Carr) – e.g., head sling, dizzy bat, egg on a spoon, “feeling box”, 2-person head and ball relay, tarp turnover, balloon race.
• 1:00-5:00 – Free time. Scouts and families are free to hike, go swimming, fish, play ga-ga ball, do whatever you want to do.
• 5:00-6:00pm – Get ready for dinner. Scouts must dress in full scout uniform. Parent meeting with Bob.
• 6:00-7:30 – Graduation ceremony – MC’d by Bob
o Welcome, opening comments
o Flag retirement ceremony – John O’Tuel
o Rank advancements ceremony
o Break – parents can take pictures of their scouts
o Den skits
o Adult recognition
o Closing – Scout vespers, Taps, benediction
Sunday – Breakfast at 8am, non-denominational church service (Eric), breakdown camp.
