The Public Works Utilities Division is now hiring for a Solid Waste Compliance Coordinator!

This role provides information regarding the City’s waste reduction and recycling programs, promotes the City’s sustainability efforts; assists with public outreach and education, handles waste audits, enforcement, and data analysis; and ensures compliance with state and local ordinances, codes, and regulations related to solid waste.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Two (2) years of experience performing public engagement, conducting audits, regulatory compliance, or related functions, preferably in the solid waste industry, are required. Experience working with municipal codes and enforcement, inspection, and/or compliance monitoring in a public agency environment is desirable.

Education & Other Requirements: Education equivalent to graduation from the twelfth grade. A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 1 year of the required work experience. Possession of a valid Class C California Driver’s License is required at the time of hire; possession of a valid equivalent is acceptable during the application process.
