Dr. Rajiv Arya, D.J. Gandhi Distinguished Visiting Professor at IIT Bombay, will be giving a talk, the details of which are as follows:

    > Relevant technology development
- Building multiple international partnerships
    >Seeking meaningful R & D relationships for manufacturing, deployment, and testing.

Biography

Dr. Rajeewa (Rajiv) Arya has worked in the field of Photovoltaics since 1980 with a number of companies in the USA and India, including:
•Solarex Corporation as Director, Research and Development
•BP Solar as Executive Director, Thin Film Technology
•Moser Baer Solar Ltd. as Chief Executive Officer

He is currently Principal and Founder of Arya International, Inc. based in Portland, USA, and is a Distinguished Visiting Professor at IIT Bombay.

Dr. Arya has done pioneering research on various aspects of thin-film solar PV, and with his industry engagement over the years, has an unparalleled perspective of the global solar scenario. Dr. Arya did his Ph.D. under Prof. J. J.  Loferski at Brown University.
