Dear Colleagues (especially Preetha),

An interesting paper demonstrating the opportunities that would be opened up through cell and module level simulation capabilities.

Thumbnail image of graphical abstractWe propose a method to compute the energy yield of a photovoltaic module subject to partial shading. By applying constraints, we generate series-parallel cell configurations that are practically feasible, and identify the configuration characteristics that consistently yield a higher energy. We show that by proper design of the PV module's configuration the energy yield can be significantly improved over that of the conventional configuration.

Best regards

Anil
