Scrum for bigger personal projects?

I think I'm right in saying that the people here that work at Sage use
Scrum, or at least aim to, and I'm sure there are others, but what
about for solo projects?

When you're working alone to produce something reasonably significant
(not just some toy you're developing for fun) does anyone have any
thoughts or experience apply Scrum or is that just a ridiculous idea;
if so what do you reach for when you need a little more structure?
