Dear Club Officers,

I see on AskFRED people are signing up for the 18 October event listing only their non-academic club as their affiliation. NCIFL events are academic-ONLY events, and fencers must be registered under their academic affiliation to be recognized.

Best,

Thom

BTW, did anyone else catch that individual finals for Men’s Foil World Cup are happening in San Francisco that night? I hope the tournament is finished in time for people to get over there.

We'll send an email to all those who have pre-registered and remind them to sign up under than academic club affiliation if they have not already.
And just to clarify, are students who are not part of the NCIFL but still signed up under an academic club allowed to compete?

Best,
Arami

The league is open To all college students carrying at least one active unit with a college identification card that is current to prove it. So, strictly speaking, all academic institutions are eligible, even if they're not in Northern California exactly.
