RA Drive In Host 2024

Good Afternoon,

 

NCHO is looking for a host institution for the 2024 RA Drive- In Conference. The RA Drive-In is an opportunity for RAs across the state to connect over shared experiences, educate each other around topics relevant to their work, and learn new skills from their peers in order to be a stronger, more confident RA on their home campuses. Key highlights the conference will provide include educational sessions, roundtable discussions, and guest speakers, in addition to all the fun games and activities the drive-in is known for!

 

NCHO’s desired conference dates are mid to end of March or early April. Hosting during this time in the spring gives RAs time and experience in their role in order to bring their wealth of knowledge to the conference. We also hope that a spring offering will be an exciting launching board for newly hired RAs to glean insight to take into their upcoming fall training.

 

If you are interested in hosting the conference, please fill out this interest form. We are asking for institutions to submit their interest by July 21st, 2023. The form will ask information about the host committee, your institutions desire to host the conference, proposed conference dates, and information about your institutions ability to accommodate.

 

Shout out to UNC-Charlotte for hosting RA Drive-In 2023. It was a huge success! It was the first in person RA drive-in conference in the state since 2020. The conference had over 150 attendees from North and South Carolina. Special shout out to the conference chair Alyssa Toshimitsu for all her hard work!
