The joy and love, of course. :)

It's just a magical time of year and really, as clicheed as that sounds, I
can't think of a better word for it... christmas is the one time of year
you can look strangers in the eye and smile, or the one day some idiots
stop drinking. The one day people will forget and forgive and one day
that all the Shit that is life at least slows don a bit...

I'm a bit upset this year because I was told I'm not havinbg a
birthday.... I never really expect anything much, but this year I'm really
getting nothing.... no prewsents, no cake, no cards... I guess it
shouldn't matter... I still feel like crying, but rationally, it
shouldn't make any difference...

whatever.

Mmm... Tough... Hmmmm...

*shakes head*

Well, sufficed to say I feel that you shouldn't have to feel that
way. There's not a whole lot *I* can do about it, as I'm not the one in
control of your birthday stuff, but, well, I sympathize and think it's
vastly unpleasant. I've had various stuff go down on my birthday (and not
go down when expected to) and it can be quite upsetting.

Not knowing the situation, it's hard to offer platitudes, but on
the other hand I don't want to pry if you don't want to talk about it.

If you were here I'm sure a bunch of us would get together to have
you a little party (however much or little we know you).

Birthdays for me are a recognition by some people that you've made
the world a little bit better for them.

I must say that you've taught me a little about the goth lifestyle
(both in posts and your homepage) and have opened my eyes a little to the
diversity of people my age. I think that this open mindedness makes me a
better person. You have improved my life Charlotte, so, Happy Birthday.

Noone has the right to deny you that knowledge, or feeling. You
make the world a little better. There are very very few people which are
actually not worth their space on this earth. Homolka and Teale come to
mind, but that's of no consequence. If you weren't here, I'd miss you.
I'm glad you were born, you're one of the types of person I want to share the
planet with.

> whatever.

I just wish that I could include my rendition of happy birthday...
but alas, NCF doesn't support attachments to SIG posts... :)

I've been in the "Not a lot of cash for your birthday" boat, and
it's not about money, it's about celebrating who you are and spending time
with people who appreciate you.

When's your birthday? I'm expecting a bunch of people at my
birthday gathering sometime around January 28th. I'd be more than happy to
share my birthday with you.

'Cause hey, two birthdays are better than one. :)
Mind you, we're planning on going swimming... but you can meet us
after for supper or something, if you're interested. I'll make sure
there's lots of cake.

As much of a flipping ninny I'm impressed that you think I am,
unfortunately I'm not a polar bear club member.
I have 0 fat on my body, which makes me an excellent heat
conductor. The heat from my brain just radiates right on out into the
cold water unhindered. :) (Not to mention the heat from various other
parts that prefer to stay warm)

So we were kinda planning on swimming indoors, except there's been
quite a bit of huffing and hawing from the females of my tribe this year,
who might finally manage to sink my plans. (PUN! PUN! PUN!)

They seem to have. I suppose all the punsters were finally drawn and quoted.
