About 30 yrs ago, NASA recieved images of the surface of Mars. Cost
of this operation was in the millions. They didnt find evidence of
life until a couple of guys found unusual structures on the surface
which warranted further investigation. NASA in turn ignored this
research until it acheived worldwide acclaim, and then they denounced
it as illusions of light and shadow.

If the goals of these "scientists" was to look for evidence of life,
well they completely blew it on this one. One reason they in their
smug idiocy (see skepticism) are able to remain oblivious to the
evidence of non-natural landforms as proof of an ancient civilization
is they werent expecting to find anything like this.

What they probably expect to find is a Martian McDonalds and shopping
mall. Now that would be evidence of "intelligent" life. Well, NASA
is once again (after a couple of failures) set to explore the surface
of the red planet, and the Cydonia region is "not a priority target"?

Why? Why? Why? Why would Cydonia not be a priority? Afterall, finally
here is the evidence that we are not alone in the universe. Proof to
the unbeliever. Unfortunately, the skeptics (see scientist) are interested.

The skeptics are just like the Roman Catholics of 400 yrs past. We don't
have to look through the telescope because we already know the Sun revolves
around the earth. Galileo, you are a heretic.

It is with much irony and amusement to watch this silly, childish debate
continue. I work in Marketing. This is how I make my living. For NASA
to reject and denounce what is truly the most important find in the
history of space exploration, leaves me scoffing at the "intelligence"
of these no-brainers. Even if it were just a trick of light and shadow,
NASA should soak it for all its worth.

If NASA were to back up this evidence of life (at least one which
undoubtedly previously existed) at least tentatively, warranting further
investigation, it would spark unrivaled interest in the space program.
Millions of dollars would pour in. Millions of people would watch on
T.V. as the first man stepped foot on Mars. Our world could reach
a global union of unprecedented proportions as we assumed our direction
to the Solar system. But NOOOOOOO! NASA has to say this is "just a trick
of light and shadow". Well, when say your a bunch of blooming fucking
idiots, its just a trick of consonants and vowels. Pardon me....

Its just like the evidence supporting the fact that the Pyramids at
Giza are not 4000 yrs old, but much, much older. Or the evidence that
the Sphinx is not the face of Chephren, but of someone else and that
is much, much, older, even perhaps from Atlantis....would spark unrivaled
interest. Thousands would flock to see the new chambers. Millions
of dollars would pour into research and of course tourism for Egypt.
But NOOOOO! The idiots have to denounce the evidence, which is
indisputable, because it contradicts their "wisdom". What wisdom?

So ye skeptics, continue to fight with your naval. But know this,
that when Life from elsewhere does decide to make themselves known,
you will be the idiot, remembered only for your obstinate smugness
where you coward behind the status quo, comfortable in being "just
a trick of" ego and stupidity.
