HELP WANTED WITH OLD DOS GAME

i have installed Police Quest 3 on my computer. This is a P2 233 mHz
computer. The driving part in the game is way to fast.
So fast at a point i can't stop and i crash.
In the past i had found a commando or program to slow down the computer for
the old dos games or create such an envirement. i have a seperat boot-disk.

Unfortenatly i can't remember what i did, so could somebody help me and mail
it back to me directly (if you have no other options the newsgroups are fine
too)
