URGENT AND IMPORTANT COMMUNICATION
Dear member,
FOR THE KIND ATTENTION OF THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
PERFORMANCE AND PROBLEMS RELATED TO THE INDO-LANKA FREE TRADE
AGREEMENT (FTA) AND THE PROPOSED COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP
AGREEMENT (CEPA)
The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) is conducting an
assessment among member export companies regarding the above subject
with the objective of making recommendations to the Government.
In this regard, member companies especially those who are currently
exporting to India and those who wish to enter the Indian market are
requested to provide the Chamber brief information on;
• Products and export performance of your Company during the last 3
years in the Indian market.
• Problems faced in entering or expanding export performance in the
Indian market.
• Actions that are required to overcome the problems.
Your views regarding the proposed CEPA are also requested.
THE DEADLINE FOR THE RECEIPT OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION BY THE CHAMBER ,
AS WELL AS ANY OTHER VIEWS OR INFORMATION YOU WISH TO PROVIDE IS 12
AUGUST 2011, THE LATEST.
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF THE CHAMBER DOES NOT RECEIVE YOUR REPLY ON OR
BEFORE THE DUE DATE, IT WILL BE PRESUMED THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY
PROBLEMS OR VIEWS REGARDING THE FTA & CEPA.
