35 Dalit Families pushed out from a village in Haryana
The National Campaign on Dalit Human Rights (NCDHR) has received information that 35 Dalit families forced to flee from a village of Jindh District of Haryana in India. The Case information is as follows:
35 Dalit Families pushed out from a village Dahaula in Jind District of Haryana in India. Some years back a piece of land was donated to them for Rabidas Temple by kaith Community. Now the Jat (Dominant Community) living next to this Dalit community, have opened their windows & doors towards this land and claming that it is their land. Based on this dispute Dalits were attacked by Jats and threatened that on Dipawali day they will play Holi with Dalits's blood.
Dalits had given the complaints to local police Station but Police did not register their complaints. Due to fear these Dalit families flew away from their village and since then they are seeking justice but Govt. or media has not paid any heed.
Mr. Pawan one of the victims contacted NCDHR seeking for help and then we met him.
National Campaign on Dalit Human Rights (NCDHR) is taking this case of atrocity on Dalit families very seriously and organizing a fact finding team. Soon this team will visit the incident village and will find the facts. NCDHR will get back with a Fact Finding report shortly.
