Good morning!

We have confirmed the following dates for a pre-meeting, and then a meeting with the consultants (H3) for the Columbia Central Conservation District Overlay

12/10 at 3:00 pm.  Pre-meeting at my house (1863 Cliff Dr.   573-999-1579 if you get lost)

I'll have copies of the executive summary of our work so we can remind ourselves of the key issues we identified during our work sessions. 

12/14 at noon. Small group meeting in Room 1B with H3 consultants; we will be representing our neighborhoods during this 1 hour discussion.

12/14 at 6:00-8:00 pm in Council Chambers. Public presentation by H3.

I hope that many of you can attend so we have a good showing from the Neighborhoods.  If you cannot attend and have a designee for your neighborhood association,  please forward this message to them and let me know.

You are receiving this message because you were part of the original email lists of individuals who represent central Columbia neighborhoods, and who had an interest in saving their historic character and livability.

It has been two years since we met together, but the City has recently hired a consultant (HD3  Studio) and they will hold a public presentation on December 14, 6-8pm in the Council Chamber.  According to Tim Teddy, this group has begun their study, and have received the report and recommendations of our group and toured the central Columbia area.  They will also receive completed historic resource surveys including those for Garth's Addition and two phases of North Central).

IN ADDITION, HD3 would like to meet with our group for an hour on the afternoon of 12/14.  Although this is short notice, and I know it is during the work day, I hope that many of you will be able to attend this meeting. I will request the noon-hour meeting in hopes that this will allow those who are working to join us.

I would also like to invite you all to a meeting on the afternoon of either 12/9 or 12/10 to talk about what we want to gain from the meeting with HD3.  With only an hour, I think it would be helpful if we had some specific questions - about the process, the scope of their expected project, anything they have already discovered, etc.

So - Please let me know if you can attend these meetings.  For the weekend meeting, please indicate which of the meetings you could attend - 12/9 or 12/10.  Hope to see a lot of you at these events!

PS - If someone else should represent your neighborhood, please forward this and let me know that individual's name/email so I can get them on our contact list.
