Any chance of implementing support for the P series (P80/P510). I can do a manual shutter release, but nothing else works.

Thanks

Hi Duka,

I use a D80, with the bracketing option... I can get it to work if I select one exposure at a time, any chance of checking ALL exposures required then one button press to take the all.

Any chance of getting RAW workiing with a D80 :-)

With thanks on a great product so far.

After a short searching, i don't find any solution to support P series cameras, i thing simply they don't have this feature.

Hi, do you the latest version (0.7.136), there was a error with bracketing, but in latest version this should be fixed.

Yes, tested with the above. I brakets OK if I select ONLY ONE bracket
value at a time, but if I select (e.g. -1,0,+1) it takes only one photo,
not three.

I already posted this in the google code comments, but I figured I'd post here as well. Having D5000 live view support would be nice. Right now the D5000 is identified as a D90 which might be part of the problem.

Hi Duka

Thank you for writing and sharing this software. I looked at some of your code and you are much better at C# than I am. I have just received my Nikon D4 and really like it. I also have a D7000, so will be testing both. My interest is to use these cameras in astrophotography with my 8 inch Meade telescope. I don't believe that the bulb feature is supported. I will need to make 5 - 10 minute exposures. Is this possible?

Thanks,

Hi, you can select the bulb in M mode, but you can't capture photo using software (it is a limitation of Nikon MTP, no command to stop a capture sequence), but the release button  still  working.

Just another thing, I would be more than happy to help translating the software into French if you would use a ressource based string manager.

Regards,

Thank you very much for your work.

I would like to submit several things :
*I wonder if it is possible to have the current step of the focus in the lv mode, this would be very interesting for focusing accurately in astrophotography : I have another software allowing to measure the quality of the focus, knowing the focus step would allo to graph in extrernal software the quality of the focus. I think it is the variable step in the windows live view : selectedPortableDevice.Focus(step);
*Would if be possible to allow for customized photo names including key words for this step for example $S (For step) in the configuration of the session ? Otherwise ouw it be possible to write it direclty in the user fields of the meta data ?
I hope you will find there two features not to specific to my needs :o)

In addition, I would be more than happy to help you translating the software into French.

Best regards,

Christophe

Hi Duka,

I'm not alone that it will help but a Black and White liveview or preview would be a good idea for some photographers doing B&W picture to show them what they can attend for the shot ? Just a feature that it can help some of us....

Thanks !

Hello,

I just found this briliant piece of software. I am shooting movies with my D7000, so this could be a big help for me, I have several suggestions:

1) There is a button to start recording a movie in the LV mode, but it is grayed out (inactive). I saw you added this recently - possibly the support is still not quite OK?

2) Have option in LV mode to see the gray "stripes" that show you what the 16:9  frame size is - similar to those than can be turned on on the camera.

3) The manual focus presets are great, but why do they reset when using AF - is that necessary?

4) It would be very useful for movie shotting to have several pre-focused points and being able to transition between them - I would explain this in a greater detail, if you are looking to implement this.

Thank you again for the software,
Michal

Hi,
It would be great if you could add the option to remove the thumbnails from along the bottom of the screen, and display them in a separate window (or to the right of the main image) in a grid 5 thumbnails wide.
Also, is it possible to maintain the aspect ratio within the thumbnails... all mine are squished :)

Other than above, I am extremely happy with the software and think you have done an amazing job so far. Cant wait to see what is added/refined as it develops.
