Reuven, (and other Mac experts),

Baruch Orman, a friend of mine and others on the yishuv, can't get USB drives to mount after an 10.5.1 Leopard upgrade. USB Prober sees the drives. Do you (anyone) have time to resolve?

Thanks,

Marc,

I have not heard of this problem. Have him download the update to his hard drive and reapply it. Failing that he can do an Archive and Install with preserve account and user settings. This reinstalls the OS but leaves applications, data and user configuration settings untouched. Then reapply the update.

It seems to be the biggest boo-boo by apple to date. Google "macbook pro usb not mount"

Marc,

While this is a problem for some people, this is not a widespread problem. That is not to say that Apple has not made mistakes.
