--- Fun At The Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival ---
The Northern California Bluegrass Society's Good Old Fashioned
Bluegrass Festival is small, close-in, down home, relaxed and fun!
The Friday-Sunday gathering this weekend features 24 great
California bluegrass bands on the main stage and 20 more bands
on the famed GOF 'tweener stage, an open mike opportunity that
alternates with the main stage.
The GOF offers 100% flushy restrooms, hot showers, free Wi-Fi high
speed internet service, shade in the audience area, a low-power FM
broadcast of the stage to the camp, excellent sound by Paul Knight,
shaded tent camping, plenty of convenient, close-in RV camping with
many hook-ups, children's activities, a raffle, the NCBS election,
food
and craft vendors, nominations for the Northern California Bluegrass
Awards, and easy handicapped access.
Bolado Park is set in a beautiful rural valley with sharply-defined
hills above. The 14th GOF is a benefit for the hundreds of events
and services the NCBS supplies each year to the bluegrass
community of the San Francisco Bay and Monterey Bay Areas.
