We're Baaaack! The NCBS Bluegrass News
Dear Folks (all 13 of you),
As you know, I published this e-newsletter from 1996 to 2003. Former
readers still ask me about it almost once a month, and with the pending
revision of the NCBS website this fall, I am restarting it with this
"test" issue. The idea is to remind subscribers to visit the NCBS
website about once a week.
Please tell your friends to sign up on the Google website. The plan is
to build a healthy subscriber base by the end of the year. Note that
subscribers can subscribe and unsubscribe without involving me. Your
comments & suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Always Thinkin'
If I had not stopped 3 years ago, this month would have been the 10th
anniversary of this approximately weekly missive. It started as a
complete listing of all scheduled Society events, in date order from
now to eternity. Useful, but "B-O-R-I-I-I-I-N-G" was the universal
comment. So, we threw journalistic standards to the winds, dropped all
pretense of being comprehensive, wrote "USA Today short," and just had
fun. Everyone seemed to like it, so our firm plan is to stay in the
short and fun rut. Please save all Pulitzer Prize nominations for the
new BBB editor Mary Kennedy....and see you under the stars this
weekend!...mh
