Hey bee friends 🐝 — anyone interested in rescuing a wild hive? There’s an active colony living in a large cottonwood tree downtown on Lincoln. The property owner is having the tree professionally removed on August 4th. They’ll likely be taking a large chunk of the trunk (approx. 4’ diameter), which includes the hive. One will need a strong trailer and a place for a 4'x 6' cotton wood stump.

Let me (Brian Deurloo 307.439.9570) know ASAP if you’d like to coordinate getting the hive.

What is the estimated weight of the tree section?

Hmmm. I don’t know what the tree section weighs . Probably greater than 200 pounds.
