The University of Wyoming Extension Bighorn County page posted this morning about the new college!
UWE Event: WY Bee College
Date: September 13 & 14
Location: Casper College
From the Bee College Website:
The Wyoming Bee College is a two-day event. A Bee College is an educational opportunity for beekeepers of all levels, gardeners, naturalists, Extension Educators, and anyone interested in bees—whether native or honey-producing—and the honey product business.
Courses and training sessions will cover beekeeping skills, honey bee behavior, specialty hive products, and native and honey bee research updates, all from a practical perspective.
The in-depth beginning beekeeping sessions will be offered on Friday as a full-day program. These sessions are for anyone interested in bees, including gardening for bees, those who have or want to prepare to have bees next season, and those who are still new to beekeeping and want to learn more.
We plan to bring in vendors to help new beekeepers find the resources they need to start a new endeavor and for existing beekeepers to stock up on supplies they need for their apiaries. Vendor spaces may be limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
