News & Announcements

J.O.Y GROUP - HARVEST DAY - "Apples and Pumpkins" Thursday, October 23rd. We will meet at the Annex at 10:15 a.m. We will be going to get apples and eating lunch at Edna's. Remember lunch is CASH ONLY. We are hoping to see a lot of fall color. You must be signed up by October 19th if you want to go. We can only take 30, so sign up soon. See Bill or Nancy Paul for more information.

THE CARING PLACE - Fighting Hunger in Bradley County - We will be collecting food items during the month of October. Collection containers will be in the Annex and the Welcome Center. There are also lists suggesting the items you can donate. This project is being promoted by the Women on Mission.

COMMUNITY-WIDE FALL FESTIVAL - Saturday, October 25 from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. sponsored by the Preschool and Children's Departments. Fun, games, food, and treats for ages birth through 5th grade. Come and bring the family!

YOU CAN HELP WITH the Fall Festival by bringing bags of wrapped candy and hot chocolate mix. There is a box in the Welcome Center for these items. Also, if you would like to donate hot dogs and buns, please see April Hutson or Amanda Harrington.

The PRESCHOOL AND CHILDREN'S DEPARTMENTS are making Thanksgiving Food Baskets. Each week they will be bringing different items to Sunday School. This week they will be bringing 2 cans of corn.

MOTORCYCLE DINNER RIDE - Monday, October 13 - We will leave the church parking lot at 5:45 p.m. and return around 8:45 p.m.

BUDGET REQUESTS are due back in the Financial Office by Wednesday, October 15.

Congratulations to proud parents, Judson and Chrystal Bates and big brother, Jayden on the birth of Anna Paige on October 2nd. She weighed 6 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19" long. Proud grandparents are Bill and Anita Bates. Great-grandparents are T.J. and June Cawood.

WINTER EXTREME - a youth retreat for Dec. 31 - Jan. 2 in Gatlinburg, TN. Cost is $75.00 per person. A $25.00 deposit is due by October 12 if you plan on attending this event. See Jason Cox for more information.


YOUTH HAYRIDE - Saturday, October 18 at the Wooden's. If you need a ride from the church we will be taking the van.

ADULT 2 DEPARTMENT is sponsoring their annual SENIOR ADULT WORK DAY on Saturday, November 22. If you are a senior adult and have a home or yard project that you would like to have assistance with on that day, pick up one of the green forms in the windows and turn it into the church office as soon as possible.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS meeting will be Sunday, October 19 beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Bradley Baptist Associational Office.

SCRAPBOOKING in the Annex Friday, October 24 from 7 pm to 11 pm. Bring snacks to share and join us as we do our scrapbooking.

SIGN UP ON THE registration slip to help or attend the meal for the BCHS Football Team on Friday, Oct. 24th at 4-6 pm. $5.00 donation per person for meal.

Congratulations to proud parents, Charles and Ashley Haury on the birth of Kayson Edward on October 13 in St. George, Utah. He weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and was 21" long. Grandparents are Ed and Shirley Boring.

CAMPFIRE WORSHIP

at the "Shed"
We will begin by roasting hotdogs around the campfire and close with a time of worship under the stars.
The church is supplying hotdogs, buns, and drinks so you don't need to bring anything. Dress is very casual.
