Hanging of the Green
Launch the Christmas Season with us on Sunday night November 30, at
6:30 p.m. Hanging of the Green is a worship service centered
around the songs and symbols of the Holiday Season. As the sanctuary
is decorated with sights and sounds, worshipers see how candles,
greenery, poinsettias, manger scenes, and other objects became part
of our Christmas traditions.
ADULT 2 DEPARTMENT
is sponsoring their annual SENIOR ADULT WORK
DAY on Saturday, November 22nd. If you are a senior adult and
have a home or yard project that you would like to have assistance
with on that day, pick up one of the green forms in the windows and
turn it into the church office by Sunday, November 16.
We will be decorating our sanctuary with Poinsettias for the
holidays. The cost will be $13.00 each. Please fill out the form,
which can be found in the front windows to place flowers in honor or
in memory of a loved one or for Sanctuary beautification. Please do
this by Sunday, November 23.
We will have a special Business Meeting on Sunday, November 23
after the evening worship service to vote on the 2009 Proposed
Budget.
If you are doing a Shoe Box for a needy child, please pick up
your boxes and information brochures in the Welcome Center. Please
read carefully and include only the items suggested. Please remember
to include your $7 shipping fee. Boxes need to be turned in to the
church by Friday, November 21.
