Hello,

1.  Attached you will find our minutes.

2.  Also please check out our upcoming fundraiser:  Outdoor and Sports Gear Sale at SUNY Potsdam's Maxcy Hall on Saturday, February 4th!  If you have any current and gently used equipment or are seeking some, please come!

Details listed here below the announcement about film screening:  http://northcountry350.org/upcomingevents/

3.  350.org is calling for a massive People's Climate Mobilization to occur on April 29th in Washington, DC.  NC 350 A will most likely be participating.  Stay tuned for details........

4.  Lastly........many have expressed their concern about the implications of the change of leadership in Washington.  If you are concerned and feeling a need to be more active, take heart!  I am hearing this from MANY.  Attached is a form I passed out at last night's screening of Before the Flood that gives you some ways to take a "daily act of resistance, or DAR.  Please consider calling your legislators in ways you have never done before; all contact info is provided.  Legislators who agree with you still need to hear from you so they can claim, "I have heard from constituents and..........."  And legislators who do not agree with you especially need to hear from you.

Calling a legislator's office is easy!  You simply call and say you want to leave a comment, and the person records what you say.  Some callers ask to speak with "someone about environmental issues," for example.  And some will also ask questions and ask for stances.  But it is very polite and comfortable once you get used to it!

You might start by calling Stefanik's office to express dismay that Trump is moving us back to the 20th century with opening up Keystone and DAPL yesterday.  While other countries are moving forward to renewables, we are moving back into promoting fossil fuels.  One of the 17 programs slated to be cut is the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.  Another is US funding for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change---which costs you as an individual taxpayer $0.03.  The total cost per American for all 17 programs is $22.36.

Check out this link and then call your legislators please.

Remember:  These people work for YOU.

Ginger
