1) Bush had a bad, long lasting drinking problem and he owes the
voters an explaination of just how bad it was.
2)Bush is probably a recovering ALCOHOLIC!
This presents a very serious problem for the voters. The office of the
Presidency is an extremely high stress job. If it becomes too
stressful, how can we be sure that Bush won't seek comfort by going
back to the bottle?
In addition to Bush's covering up his drinking problems we also know
that Bush had a drug problem; specifically, a COCAINE problem. Just
how severe was Bush's cocaine use? Would Bush also seek comfort with
the powder if the job became too stressfull? The people have a right
to know just how bad Bush's alcohol and drug abuse problems reallly
were, and Bush's refusal to explain himself demonstrates a real
arrogance on his part. It is not Bush's place to decide what the
American people need or don't need to know about the candidates they
are voting on. Thats OUR decision, not his.

It was for that reason that Clinton dropped the requirement that White
House access be denied to drug users early in 1993.
