I always said that the "Denny's Store" 138k was my favorite perm-pop.
So ... Saturday, I'm riding.
Historically, at this time of the year, I would start at 6 AM.
But, if anyone else indicates publicly (or even off-line) that they are interested,
I'd be willing to start at 7 AM.
This a Permanent, not a Brevet.
Therefore, to ride, in addition to being a RUSA member, one must also have registered for Permanents this year and register via the waiver process in/on the RUSA website. For information on how to do that,
see this link to the RUSA website which explains (I hope).
The start will be from the Bay Leaf CVS -- see the RWGPS link above.
Park around to the side of the CVS; i.e., park near NC-50/Creedmoor Rd.
Completing this perm-pop will count toward a P-12 Award and RUSA distance awards. It will not count toward the Rouleur Award or the RUSA Cup; nor will it count toward any ACP distance awards.
Please feel welcome to contact me (on-line or off) if you have any questions.
If anyone, esp. members new to RUSA this year, would like to do the route on Sunday, and would prefer to do their first ever RUSA ride with a rando experienced person, I can also do the route on Sunday.
Enjoy the ride,
p.s. Do not confuse the above referenced perm-pop with the brevet-populaire "Ravenstone - Denny's Store 125". Do not go to the wrong start location. Do not expect that I will have the paperwork to sign you up at the start of this perm-pop as I cannot do that for Permanents.
The 125k brevet-populaire is on the calendar later in June, and that event will be governed by Brevet protocols.
