Hey Randos,
I drove the 200k course this past Saturday and all the roads are open. Here are a couple of observations from the 50mph-ish driver's perspective. We'll continue to use Major Hill Road instead of Greensboro-CH Road, it a quieter, more rural road. Although it was bumpy in spots and I saw several potholes. The was a road sign missing, however it wasn't at a turn. One stays on Major Hill until a T-intersection at Holman Rd. Then it's back up to G-boro-CH Rd and then Snow Camp.
Interesting to note that it appears that the DOT is changing the speed limit on G-boro-CH Rd from 55 down to 45. IMHO that is a good idea for that narrow, up and down road.
The now very rusted metal cow is still on Old Switchboard Rd, but I didn't spot the UFO on the road to Siler City.
Let me know if anyone is interested in pre-riding the 200k route this coming weekend. The long range forecast for the weekend looks great.
Thanks Mike O
