A few people mentioned that they'd be interested in going to a trivia
night somewhere together. I've googled it a bit, and these are the
only two I can find in the area:

* City Beverage in Durham (Wednesdays at 9:30)
* Carolina Ale House in Brier Creek (Tuesdays at 8)

Personally, I'd prefer the Ale House because it starts earlier, and
it's a work night and all, but I'd be willing to do either if someone
else has a preference. Oh, and I know there's an Ale House in Durham,
but I can't find any info about that location having a trivia night.

So, what do y'all think?

I'm a guy, what do you think, I'm thinking???? :-P

I'm pretty open I would just need a day or two notice first.

Now is it against the rules to google the questions??? Otherwise It
will just be another thing I'm useless at.. LOL

I go to trivia every Tuesday at <a href="http://
www.nappertandysirishpub.com/raleigh/raleigh.html">Napper Tandy's</a>
(the old RiRa) in Raleigh. It starts at 7:30 and goes for a couple of
hours. There are seven rounds with gift certificates for the winner
of each round, and a $50 certificate for the team that wins the
night. They serve fairly usual pub food, and the Tuesday night
special is $3 pints. Our team can probably absorb one or two people,
depending on the week, but you're only allowed five or six on a team.
I'd be happy to provide more details if anyone's interested.

I have classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights, and Wednesday
nights at 930 is gonna take me past my bedtime. However, if you all
do start going to one, and need an extra team member occasionally,
lemme know because I'm up for it when I'm not in school.

I would love to do this but I work third shift so my options are a
little limited. I just can't get a break, LoL.

Yea, I'm definitely up for trivia, just let me know.

Being near Southpoint, I have to go with City Beverage- bonus: they
serve chocolate martinis!

Wednesdays are pretty much the only BAD day for me.  Other than the fact that I probably won't drive to raleigh, everything else is open.  I'm open to Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Durham, Saxapahaw...

Okay, I'm going to be attending the Carolina Ale House trivia night
tomorrow (3/17) at 8pm with two friends just to see how it works (and
take advantage of the fact that it's just a mile from my house). If
anyone wants to join me, you're welcome to -- just send me an email
(nadia.w...@fmr.com) so we can figure out how to meet up.

Oh, and that's the Carolina Ale House at Brier Creek:

7981 Skyland Ridge
Raleigh, NC (I'm sorry Kevin, it's Raleigh -- but just barely!)

It's just a few blocks from the intersection of I-540 and Route 70,
near the airport.

The last Fark party was at the Ale House at South Square (unless I missed one between the book signing and now!), rather than the one at Brier Creek.  It's still too much of a hump for me on a weeknight, unfortunately.  Too bad, too, as I used to compete in trivia leagues when I lived in PA.
