Mountain or cross races?

Hi Everyone!

I hope your summers are going great so far. 

I want to start talking about mountain and cross seasons in the NCCCC - I would love to have as much fun racing collegiate in the fall as I do in the spring!

You may or may not have noticed that the calendar has been updated to reflect that we will have at least one of each - the Beverly Time Trial (Cedar Rapids, IA) and Sugar Bottom Scramble (Iowa City) August 25th and 26th, and Bobber's Cross, October 13-14.

SCSU - you guys had mentioned coordinating with the MNMTB Series guys for the Single Track Escape on Sept 23. Any update there?

If that works out, there's a limited possibility that one of the other MN schools could put on a CX race on Sept 22. Would people want to split a weekend between MTB and CX like that, or is it too much equipment to haul around? Any MN CX race that Saturday would likely be pretty bare-bones, as the USGP is in Madison that weekend and a significant portion of the MN and regional riders will be there. UMD, NDSU, Saint Olaf or Saint Thomas - do you guys have any interest in that?

Last year, UNL hosted the Flatwater CX weekend and KU hosted Manion's CX - is that going to happen again?

Keep in mind that track nationals is Sept 21-23, MTB nationals is 10/19-21, and CX Nats is 1/12-13.
