On there site states 1000 games late march but no location. I'm
thinking some of the MB
Pavillion games will be there. They still haven't anounced location
and I was thinking of booking a room for a trip. Any clues?

I called superauctions the other day, and the lady said that the
auction may be in Sumter, SC, but could change.

My friend says it is probably this location outside of Sumter.

Some place full of games that has been on the block for years at too
high of a price.

I saw some digital pictures of the stuff one time. It appeared to
have been picked/parted through a lot, but there was still some good
stuff there.

These pics were about five years ago.

COW?

Coin Op Warehouse?

Maryland? Lloyd?

Just seems like an odd assumption to me.
I mean like, I wonder why Marco hasn't picked it all up? Or
Thiret? Or Apollo? Or wbowie? Or you-- or me?

Or I wonder why it's not all still on location?

Not trying to jump on your case, but it seemed misplaced.

Would you want Lloyd to pick it all up and sell it at a markup? I
like to think I'm getting as close to the source as possible- may
wind up bidding against someone, but the fewer middlemen, the better.

Not trying to jump on your case, but it seemed misplaced.

Lloyd does travel in the NC area to pick games up and for such a
stash I would think it would be worth it.
COW was in Md but now has a location just over the NC boarder in VA.
I know for a fact he bought a load 10pins from NC about a year
ago(post still listed on mrpin not sure why). He posted a HUO F14
from NC not long ago. Lloyd is a great dealer and sells at fair
prices, sometimes below auction prices just to move stuff.

I dont care who sells it but I like the fact Lloyd is willing to deal,
and is easy to deal with (cash talks)

I've got a call into them asking where the equipment came from,
specifically if its anything from the MB area and any more details on
what is going to be there. I'll let you know when I hear back from
them.

See if he'll give you an idea of what shape the stuff is in too.

I drove out there this evening, but couldn't get in. There are lots
of plate glass windows 'fogged' from the inside, but enough gaps/
scratches/peepholes to see a little bit.

I saw a BUNCH of control panels stacked up, thrown into wooden
crates and laying around in one section. Probably conversion
refugees.

There was a row of pins- nothing I could recognize but a Space
Shuttle. They had the heads laying down and parts on top of the
glasses and such.

I saw a bunch of white cardboard Playchoice 10 boxes.
I saw maybe four rows of videos, but couldn't see much detail.
There were a few Pacs, Ms Pacs, Centipedes. From the length of the
building on that side, there may have been 20-25 per row. I couldn't
tell what they all were. All of the vids I saw had no back doors.
Some of the cabinets were falling apart and the Ms Pac I had a good
view of had well-worn art. Some of the Pacs had stuff hanging down,
so maybe these were just gutted cabinets.

There was a Qbert at the end of one row.

That's about it. This was only one room of the building that I
could see into. The building is huge, but this is the section marked
40A (with spray paint).

Maybe the gems are nice and neat in some other area. The part I saw
didn't give me a good feeling.

I snapped some pictures through the window, but have some dead
batteries now...

I'll be there as it's not far for me. Maybe someone can get
SuperAuctions to list some highlights or a partial listing. They need
to let people know if all of it is like this or else there'll be a
riot.

Be good-
K

Superauctions.com has a flyer up for the auction. It looks like there
is mainly going to be a ton of parts, etc and some games and pins.

I just got back from the preview. There isn't much stuff that works,
so if you want to go to find a bunch of working games, this isn't the
auction to go to. If you want project machines, this is the auciton
to go to! There are hundreds and hundreds of various boards, control
panels, misc parts, etc. They said that they were going to auciton
entire pallets of parts off and the high bidder could either take the
entire pallet or what ever they wanted and thre rest would be
auctioned off.

As far the pins go, there is nothing that works 100% or looks very
good. Very very worn playfields, missing parts, etc. A lot of the
pins didn't have backglasses, glass, or boards. If you are looking
for project (and I mean project) pins then go to the auction. 99.9& of
the pins are old '70s and 80's pins and maybe some EMs too. Some of
the pins were not setup either.

There were about 30 or so cocktail games, some looked complete, but
most were missing something.

There's like 30 or so pacs/ms pacs. Most are incomplete, missing
boards, monitors, etc. I saw one pac that was converted to a Nintendo
shooting game.

The sale put on over the weekend in Sumter SC was a sale of
accumulated items from Super Auctions.
You were led to believe that this was an operator going out of
business or downsizing.
Some were led to believe that some stuff coming out of the Paviilion
in Myrtle Beach would be at this sale.
Fact of the matter is while some stuff at Myrtle was or will be sold
off, some will be transferred to the Broadway at the Beach. The former
owners of the Pavilion, own this same property and are building up
that park.
The stuff that you saw in Sumter was a buildup of items accumulated
over time from the Super Auctions folks.
Veteran auctioneer, Johnny King, also from South Carolina was
auctioning off the items however a buyer wanted to buy them.
For an operator, this wasnt a good sale to go to even if your looking
for the one Addams Family they had. Most of the items were not
suitable for route.
For the readers of this site, this was THE SALE to go to. Most of you
LOVE the projects they had at this sale.
For those who thought they were going to buy something for nothing ,
think again, most of it wasnt worth what it sold for.
For those thinking many operators wouldnt be there, think again,
nearby company, Green Coin Machine, was there.
For those who like to put down Auction Game Sales on this site, hope
you had a good time in Sumter. Auction Game Sales never has sales like
this on in Sumter.
