Hi all,
Saw the message about NB1 coming down, so trying to switch over to NB2. Tried to login, said pw was invalid. Reset password, but still can't login. Do I need to wait 24 hours for the pw change to take effect? Or is the login server down?

Thanks, as always, for an amazing tool. Looking forward to another year of using it :)

Hi Karl.  NB1 won't be down; we're just moving it to a different name.

NB2 is an entirely separate system, so you won't have an account there.  You'll need to create a new one.

I must have missed that message.  When did info about changes to NB1 go out?

Thanks!

Sorry; I should've been clearer: I had an NB2 account that I hadn't been using yet. (I thought perhaps I had not, but when I tried to create an account it said it already existed.) I was able to use the NB2 site to reset my password, but even after resetting, it still isn't working with the new password.

I did eventually figure it out - it was me being silly and lacking reading comprehension (username vs. email, etc.)...

BUT now I have a new issue that is arising as a result of the changeover: Many of the auto-generated messages for NB1 still send students to nb.mit.edu, rather than nb1.mit.edu (which has caused some confusion). The one off the top of my head is the password reset email. (When I had students manually edit the link in the address bar to nb1, it worked just fine).

Thanks for flagging this issue.   Emails should now contain the appropriate links.
