Is there a place in NB2 where I can see an overview of the annotations that I haven't seen?
It looks like now I have to open each file to check if there are new annotations or comments. If I remember it well, the old NB had this feature.

It would be nice to signal new annotations/comments already at the highest level. With this I mean the following: I organize material by folders, and when I click on "Contents" I see each folder with two icons next to the folder name (folder icon and edit icon). Adding another icon to signal the presence of an annotation/comment would help. Then I expect to see the same icon next to each pdf file with new annotations/comments.

Thank you, Angelo, for your suggestion! This is an important feature on our list and hopefully working on it soon. I have added your input to the specification listed here https://github.com/haystack/nb/issues/168

Thank you! That feature is really important and it would be great to have it implemented. So far I have 10 pdf files to check before the next lecture and I'm just at the beginning of the teaching period. At this pace I'll have more than 100 in a couple of months. I guess that in a couple of weeks no student will have the patience to check each file for new annotations.
I understood that you have used NB2 in a large class. Out of curiosity, how many pdf files where you able to manage without email notifications for new annotations and annotation overview?

The large class has just one (html) document per lecture.  Also I think students tend to focus just one the 2 readings of the current week.  So things are more manageable than in your approach.
