"Your connection is not private" ?

I had a student report that when they click the link to subscribe to my NB1 course, they get a "Not Secure" warning.

The text in our LMS is hyperlinked with the secure link: "https://nb1.mit.edu/subscribe..."

 

However, when they click it loads without the non secure link and this error and gives them the "not private connection" warning.

Curious if anyone has seen this before.  Why would clicking the secure link load it as the non-secure protocol?

Hi Philip.  We've checked this and cannot reproduce the bug.  Our SSL certificate is valid for this year; a possible explanation is that your students clock/time/date are set wrong (perhaps due to a dead motherboard battery).
