L&S Update

Dear FrNBNs,

It's been a difficult week, and given the seriousness and weight of what's going on, many of us have felt like our usual lighthearted/comedic life and style articles weren't right for this time. However, we are still looking for ways to continue to publish content. We are looking for pitches related to Black Lives Matter/the protests+riots that have been going on. Stories in relation to groups on campus mobilizing/what students are doing to organize for change would be great, but anything related would also be good.

NBN has a platform, and there is a responsibility that comes with it. See (and share) our organization's statement on the death of George Floyd if you haven't already. Additionally, NBN is currently raising funds for a collective donation from the org to BLM Chicago - see the instructions for donation from David below (we just passed the $500 mark!):

We would greatly appreciate any and all contributions if you have the financial means to do so. I'm accepting funds on my Venmo (@dmdeloso) through the next couple days, and looking to make the donation on Wednesday if possible. Please do not mention "Donation," "Black Lives Matter," or any permutation thereof in the memo, as I've been told Venmo has suspended accounts for fundraising.
