VP Report - NBCFAE, Western Pacific Region

Hello Members,

I would like to take this opportunity to inform everyone that I am no longer employed by the Federal Aviation Administration. I would like to emphasize that my termination was wrongful and it is being pursued through legal means. Since I am no longer employed by the FAA; I am no longer eligible to be an Active member in NBCFAE. As an Associate member, I am unable to hold an Officer position or vote. Unfortunately, this means I can no longer represent Western Pacific as your Vice President. It has been my pleasure to serve. I have met many people & learned a great deal, especially through attending the National conferences! I plan to continue to volunteer & contribute as a Associate member until I'm reinstated & can become a Active member again.

I may be requesting contact information for other former employees who were terminated in retaliation for filing complaints or disability discrimination.

VP Report:

Attended RMT meetings in May, June & August, 2016.

Coordinated with other Employee Organizations in Northwest Mountain in collaborative diversity training including a Annual Multicultural Fair.

Those of us in the Western Pacific know that we have the largest region. Our region covers Arizona to Alaska & as far away as Guam. All of our members from Denver to Los Angeles have felt like we live on islands much like our members in Hawaii. Being stationed in Seattle; I have noticed a limited audience with scheduled programs & the toll it takes on the core volunteers. I have promoted the collaboration of activities with our fellow Employee Organizations from the time I became active with NBCFAE. My passion for the organizations that represent our diverse workforce to work together inspired the Annual Membership Drives that are hosted by the WP Civil Rights division. 

I have attached the Workplace Violence handbook. Please read the chapter on Workplace Bullying. Remember, if you see something, say something!
