Eset Nod32 Keys 2019

On Boxing Day (Dec. 26) I bought two NOD32 Antivirus packages from Best Buy. They are for 1 PC, 2 Years.
I have used eset in the past and have never had an issue activating my licenses but when I try with these two new ones they BOTH say " Cannot activate, please contact ESET Support "
Any ideas?

I talked with ESET USA Support (email and phone) about unofficial licenses and they weren't sure, but it seems that anyone can buy licenses in other countries and resell them, even to users in the USA. What you lose is support from ESET. The resold license can work for the stated time, or become invalid should the reseller oversell the key or others share it online. An online search for "free ESET license key" gives you scores of keys, including valid ones, trial ones and key gen ones. So buying ESET licenses from eBay may work... or not.
Since yesterday, when I am in ESET, and only when I am in ESET, the number keys on both my laptop keyboard and also on the connected separate keyboard, malfunction such that the number shown on the monitor/screen does not correspond with the number-key I have pressed. This applies to both the number-keys along the tops of the keyboards as well as the number keys on the 10-key section on the right-hand side of the keyboards. It is somewhat random, but sometimes it just repeats the last number input from two to several times - and again, this occurs no matter what number-key I am pressing. Sometimes, the typing of a number-key produces a decimal point, although I have not touched that key at all.

The GUI just comes up and shows Activation Failed and below that it says something like virus definition could not be updated. I tried to ping u20.eset.com and it freezes halfway through. Is there something in a fresh Deepin install that is blocking it? Is there any dependencies that need installed? I'm not sure where to go from here.
Note that not all files, folders, and registry keys and entries are installed on your computer during this malware's/spyware's/grayware's execution.
