Is there a way to change the default insertion of blocks and text? I have a floor plan that is U shaped, and am doing electrical layouts. The two wings need to be horizontal, but I don't want to (if I don't have to) have multiple files for the same single floor plan.
I just set up a viewport in a layout for one of my coworkers. Then I rotated it so his portion of the plan would orient horizontally/vertically. The image rotates with the viewport. My next step was to set my UCS to OB (for object) and touched one of the E-W lines so that x was east and y was north. I tested it by drawing a dimension up the left side, to make sure my text was oriented properly. Once I had my scale set and the viewport locked, I now tackled the problem of the viewport itself being at an angle. My solution was to draw a rectangle around the area I wanted him to see, and used VPCLIP to clip the boundaries of the viewport to the new rectangle.
Electrical design is the process of planning and creating electrical equipment, such as electrical components, schematics, lighting equipment, power systems, and telecommunications infrastructure. Electrical design software and tools address the specific workflows for electrical controls systems designers.
A wiring diagram shows the components of an electrical circuit within a realistic drawing of the finished device or architectural project. A schematic drawing, on the other hand, only diagrams the components and their interconnections, and does not illustrate their physical layout in the finished project.
Electrical design software is used by systems designers for planning and creating electrical equipment, addressing specific workflows. Electrical design software such as AutoCAD allows electrical engineers to design integrated systems in a fraction of the time normally required when creating the process by hand.

I've recently had builders start to spec EV chargers for garages on architectural plans. I've been using a duplex outlet symbol with a voltage label (120/240/480), but I'm wondering if there's a separate industry standard electrical symbol to help differentiate it from a regular outlet.
