Hi All,
In recent times the borewell yield has drastically reduced. So we started buying around 3tankers @600rs per day.
This is an huge expense.
When we were discussing on alternatives we got 2 suggestions.
1. New borewell or revive existing borewell.
2.water meter per flat.
Option 1:
This option looks ambitious as we have seen atleast 3 borewell failing to yield in the close vicinity.
However we checked with one consultant who marked a potential water resource. This requires permission from bbmp authorities and ofcourse consensus from all the residents. Will update you more on this as we get more information.
Cost involved: 3lacs.(approx)
Option2:
Redesigning water pipelines to introduce water meters to track consumption against each flat and charge accordingly.
This would improve arresting leaks if any from individual flats and cautiousness on water usage.
Since we have bachelors and office spaces too, determining consumption per flat is difficult without such metering.
This would also help us to keep a check on delayed payments/ defaulters too.
Cost involved :3.5(qoute received 6months back)
Please share your thoughts on each of the option so that we can have consensus. Any new idea is most welcome.
Sometime back we have built a setup to reuse filtered rainwater.
This has been very helpful during rains.
We might also need to increase maintenance towards increased water expense. We don't want to eat in to savings and corpus(25k / flat) that was collected few years back.
Thanks
