Oudie N - can you stop it outputting your location and how does it dedupe your own flight??

This week on two occasions we had an Oudie N running in a different glider from the one Oudie thought it was. OGN thought we were being followed by the glider Oudie thought it was.

I am very unlikely to fly in a glider without Flarm, so I have no use for my Oudie N to output my location. I do not want to set up a separate glider ID each time I fly in a different glider. Is there a way to prevent Oudie from outputting my location?

How does Oudie go about avoiding duplication when it does know the registration of the glider it is in?

Many thanks to anyone who knows the answers!

Did you turn off the OGN layer on the Oudie's map? I think that will stop the display of OGN gliders on your Oudie N, but don't know if it still sends your location to OGN.

Thanks for the replies and the link.

I like to see OGN traffic on my Oudie so I don't want to turn off that layer - and I am happy for my location to be displayed on OGN. The link confirms that when the glider registration in SeeYou Navigator is the same as the registration linked to the glider's own Flarm the system avoids showing two aircraft.

However, there does not seem to be a way to avoid the duplication without setting up the glider with its registration in SeeYou Navigator. Perhaps my use case of wanting to avoid the need to do that is unusual.

An example - my glider is an Arcus, on Friday I flew in a different Arcus, I did not change the glider setup on my Oudie, and OGN thought there were two Arcus's flying together!

Best wishes, Mark
