stray dog

I was going on bike with wife on pillion in last week in sect. 12 vashi . Suddenly  one black dog from group  of 4-5 ,barkingly   ran after bike. Wife tried to push by leg but by the time  dog caught hold of her foot. I speeded the bike and luckily got her leg  free from its mouth. By good luck that time wife had shoes instead of chappals so teeth couldn't pierce thro' it. otherwise it would have ended with course of injections.   Arvind Walawalkar

On Sunday near Seawoods hospital an ld gentleman was walking with his tripod walking stick. Two stray dogs began to follow him and were smelling him out. He got scared and tried to chase them away by brandishing his walking stick. In the process he fell flat on his back and several people passing by had to lift him and slowly send him on his walk. Are the protection of strays more important than of citizens for the Courts?
