Please refer our grievance as below, emailed to NaviMumbai Commissioners, dtd. Wed, 20 Jan 2010 12:56:52 IST.

There is absolutely no response from NMMC yet, almost 6 months !
Can the forum take up this issue with NMMC ?

To,

The Commissioner , NMMC

Dear Sir,

Sub: Installation of water meters for the residential flats in
our condominium, Panchsheel Appt. Owners Association, Sector-9,
Vashi.

I would like to bring to your kind notice, that the water meters of corresponding flats in our society (mentioned above), have been located - under ground , buried with plastic cover. Mostly these water meters are very close to the sewrage drainage chamber !
In rainy season, all these meters get flooded with dirty water. Most of the meters are not readable, as they are covered with either dirt or rust. We wonder, how NMMC is able to read the Meters !
Moreover, the proximity of the drainage chamber is posing the health hazard.

In the interest of public health, I request your kindness to please re-visit the meter locations for the necessary suitable actions , so that, meters be located above ground and thus could be easily accessible for correct reading and also avoid the un-hygienic situation.

I kindly request you to please do the needful at the earliest.

Thanks and Regards
R M Pokale

Hi,
Correct me if I am wrong, but I feel it will be appropriate to contact water meter department instead of directly  commissioner since he has to deal with various  many major issues which affects commonly  to all Navimumbaities. In this case of  Panchsheel Appt. Water dept of that ward must be responsible.

Hi Alex,

I. Whom do I contact in case my house is not covered?

The local Tehsildar/Ward Officer of your area is the designated officer. In case of need you can also contact the Collector/DC/DM of your District or the Commissioner of your Town. You can also intimate us over e mail or contact us over the toll free number given in this website.
