We’re sharing the Simchat Torah flyer early so that you can plan ahead and invite friends who might be seeking our special and unique atmosphere for the holiday.
We encourage you to arrive for the hakafot starting at 9:00. Like last year, we’ll create a space where we can be present with everything this day brings up — sadness and dance, hope and joy. Here’s our praylist
The hakafot will take place in the courtyard, so we can enjoy the trees and the open sky. Please note — and spread the word — that due to renovations at the Nature Museum, this year we’ll be in the Baka neighborhood, at the Geulim School hall and courtyard, 4 Kibbutz Galuyot Street.
This year, we’re delighted to bring back the Torah Opening Ceremony (as shown in the flyer image), where each person will be able to receive a personal guiding and blessing verse for the new year — a kind of Torah-Tarot, inspired by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi.
We’re grateful to have the spacious Geulim hall, so whatever the weather, we’ll be able to open the Torah in comfort and safety.
We’re happy and honored to celebrate with our beloved friends:
Chatan Torah: Dov Wider
Kallat Bereshit : our teacher Yisca Smith
Children’s Aliyah: Leah and Meir Klivanov-Ron
All details will be published on Sunday.
